Fettiplace Awarded the 2019 Passano Prize

Robert Fettiplace

Dr. Robert Fettiplace has been awarded the 2019 Passano Prize.

Since 1945 the Passano Foundation has annually given an award for “endeavors with clinical applications” through Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Medical School.

Based upon the ideals and vision of the late Edward Boetler Passano, the Foundation presents an award each year to a research physician who has made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of medical science. Prime consideration is given to work that has immediate clinical value or gives promise of practical application in the near future.

The award will be presented in Baltimore in May 2019. This is an honor not only for Fettiplace, but also for our School of Medicine and Public Health.
