(On the departure of Larry Trussell)

While it's impossible to celebrate
The departure of a friend who's first rate,
I take cheer in having had you here,
Who're a boon to both student and peer.
Who will make the morning pun
To bring a smile or make one run?
To whom will I turn for practicalities
To make patching and imaging realities?
My burdens have been made lighter
And the days so very much brighter
By being able to share frustrations,
New findings, and useful innovations.
Stephan, Tao and Rostya, too, we'll lose.
Whose willing advice was so good and close.
May life in Portland fulfill all your wishes,
And bring you joy and intellectual riches.
